This is one the few flashes I've watched and reviewed while under judgement that was actually really good. The controls were easily responsive, and it was in the classic style of space shoot 'em ups. What made it even more nostalgic, and even better, in my eyes, was the fact that it used the art style of sprites! I like that kind of thing. You don't see stuff like this, nowadays, and I miss old school gaming. You, my friend, have just made my day!

It's sort of faithful to the original pong. The difference is, it's turned sideways. There are a few things you can brush up on. One being the difficulty. No matter what difficulty I picked, it seemed that it was all too easy. You need to speed up the ball as time goes on. I'm sure that would be difficult, though. I've messed with actionscripting, and I know it's hard.
Another thing to work on would be the hit test of the buttons. I had to search around the buttons in order to find a spot where it would respond.
Overall, I only saw these two problems. This here isn't a bad first try, but I wouldn't count on it passing for long.

Anyway, on to the review. The joke itself is pretty much elementary humor. It could've been better, but to make such a concept work well, you would need some really good animation to compensate for such a childish joke. Besides, even if you had some good animation, if you look around you, you can see what kind of humor everybody's into here at Newgrounds, so it still wouldn't fly well.

Now to sit back and wait for people to slam on me for referencing the bible.

You finally uploaded it! Congrats, Alvin! Now that you posted your episode seven, I'm gonna hafta wait 'til November to post my episode three, 'cuz there's no competition between your flash and mine, and I wanna do the best I can in the monthly awards.

Anyways, on to the flash. It was much different than I expected, and I expected a lot of fighting, but it is very good once in a while to advance the plot some. And I can see why it took you so long. You had a LOT of custom sprites wrapped up into the 8-bit and 16-bit sprites, so I'm sure that must've taken some time. You've also got many dynamic camera angles that I wish I could emulate, but that would be too over the top for my series.

Anyway, excellent on the episode! Once again, it was much different than I expected.
